#LancsBrands: How Warburtons has successfully risen over the years

Creating brand stories is our bread and butter and key to everything we aim to achieve here at The Write Angle. We’re experts at finding the right angle to boost a business and help catch the eye of our client’s customers.

With this in mind, we naturally can’t help but admire the many great brand stories formed here in our home county of Lancashire. Established businesses that started from nothing and found the perfect angle to differentiate themselves from competitors and create a lot of noise about the products or services they sell.

Warburtons is one of our favourite examples of a brand that knows its products and audience inside-out. The business began life in 1870 as a small grocery shop formed by husband and wife, Thomas and Ellen Warburton. Over the next 139 years, the ‘family bakers’ has become one of the most well-known and instantly recognisable brands in the modern UK household.

The company has always shown a deep sense of dedication to its products, particularly with its popular TV advert in 2012, depicting the production team’s sadness at the loss of one burnt loaf. Warburtons has also recently launched its new marketing campaign ‘#thedeliverers’, alongside its TV advert starring Sylvester Stallone. This is just another example of how well the company knows its audience and is able to shout about its quality products.

Over the next few months, we’ll be exploring our favourite Lancashire brands and sharing them on LinkedIn and Twitter using the hashtag #LancsBrands.
